“The Visit” An Alien Encounter

An Interesting New Film Debuted in the 2015 Sundance Film Festival Line Up

Back in January of 2015, Danish Director Michael Madsen introduced us to a fascinating mockumentary detailing how the worlds leaders, military, scientists, and The United Nations’ “Office for Outer Space Affairs” reacts to the world’s first mass encounter with extraterrestrials.

The Visit, (not to be confused with M. Night Shyamalan’s later release with the same title) is a convincingly fake ‘documentary’ that examines humankind’s potential response to extraterrestrial contact on our home planet from the perspective of one of the alien visitors themselves. Adopting a scenario where a number of extraterrestrials have arrived on Earth and eventually encounter various human emissaries.

The film is now available for rent or purchase on Vimeo On Demand.
